Camp Out Fun | Echo Park | CSI

Hey crafty friends!  I'm glad to be joining with you today with a layout I created for the November 1st challenge over at CSI, Color Stories Inspiration.  The first challenge of the month has a sketch component as well as the case file.  Here's my take on the challenge.
For the color portion of the challenge I used the brown on my background.  The crimson and yellow are rather obvious, but then we reach the two grey components.  I struggles to get those two shades appropriately incorporated.  The plan gray is what I inked the edges of the spotted paper and the dog element with.  The darker grey are in my tag at the top and my wood dots are dark grey.
For the evidence I have four (instead of the required three) items included.  The blue paper behind my photos is striped and is part of the Echo Park Pinstripes and Petticoats collection. I then used a dog in the middle for the animal component.  The woodgrain tag at the top, wood dots, wood arrows and stars near the journalling complete my evidence.

To round out my page we come to the testimony part.  I did two of the items...stars near my journalling prompt and the inspiration wood of outside for the entire layout.
I hope you enjoy what I've created today and will go over and check the challenge out.  Until next time...stay crafty!

  1. I'm glad you decided to join us at CSI for this month's challenge. You did a really nice job hitting all the required elements. As far as the EVIDENCE component, the more items you use from the list, the better. So, good on you for using four, and for digging in your stash to find the bits of grey called for. I really like the way you added the arrows to the title work, and that phrase die-cut is perfect for the photos. Thank you for playing along.

    1. Thank you so much Jacynthe - I really love how the CSI files challenge me to get thinking about using the evidence on the page and thus use more of my stash

    1. Thank you Sandra - the boys did have a wonderful time. DS is asking to go again, but it's much to cold for right now.

  4. I like how the crimson and yellow turned out. I agonize over getting shades "perfect" too in my work.
